Lately I've noticed that after "normal" looking semens comes out of my penis, I see a yellowish gel-like substance ooze out which I've never noticed before.  It almost looks like yellowish-clear jello.  I've been having some aching in my prostate and testicle areas and I wonder if this is related.  I've been taking propecia for about 6 months and wonder if this is causing the slight aching and the gel-like substance in my semen.  Can you help here?

The consistency of semen can change intermittently. Often,  these changes go undetected. However the fact that your are able to have normal ejaculation is encouraging. The medication  propecia belongs in the class of  drugs called 5 alpha reductase inhibitors. this medicine in adequate doses can cause a change in the libido ( sexual desire ) , However a specific change in the character of the semen is not described as a common side effect.
