His excuse is that it goes away eventually, but I know this isnt normal. Could it be cancer or another serious problem? Also he had blood in his urine about 6 months ago, and his doc told him it was nothing to be concerned about and that it happens sometimes to runners. Any responses would be appreciated.
I am not the doctor, so keep checking back for their response.
Pain can be a symptom of testicular cancer, but it would be impossible to tell you if that is what is bothering your boyfriend over the internet. I think it would be best for him to go and see a urologist. This doctor can evaluate him and decide if this pain is being caused by cancer, a hernia, an infection, or something else. he should not be experiencing pain down there, and he should definitely have it looked at. The most serious problem associated with testicular pain is torsion. This is a condition where the testicle twists and cuts off its blood supply. This would be extremely painful, and is a surgical emergency. If he doesn't want to lose his testicle, then common sense tells me that he should see a doctor.
Regarding the embarassment. if this pain was in his eyeball, would he see a doctor? I think he would. The fact that the pain is "down there" is no excuse for ingoring it.
Good Luck
