Vaginal discharge is a problem. I have had a couple of yeast infections from antibiotics, could he have a yeast infection? He says men don't get them. What other things could cause these symptoms? and what can be done to make him feel better? This is putting quite a damper on our

Vaginal discharge usually means infection although there are other rare causes. As you may or may not know Doxycycline is used to treated urethritis caused by Chlamydia , a sexually transmitted disease and both partners need to be treated, or else you pass it back and forth. This can even happen even if you do not have symptoms. Please read the answer to Hunters question posted 2/20/98. It is incorrectly titled nonspecific urethritis but should read Nongonococcal urethritis. It discusses the use of erythromycin if Doxycycline does not work. A "discharge" can be normal if it is simply prostatic secretions or secretions from urethral glands. Hope this helps.
