Hi Nathan,
I have been experiencing the same symptoms. Mine started last September and it still has not cleared up. I did not do anything to cause it like you, it just came on by itself. I have many tests done, including a cystosocopy and everything was normal. I also took an antibiotic and have been applying a cream that the doctor prescribed for me. Still I have nad no luck. It started with redness and tenderness around the opening and it burns when I urinate. Now the opening is still somewhat red and it is still sore. The skin is also slightly swollen around to opening too. If I pull back the opening, you can see that the inside is very red and irritated. Im not sure how far it goes but I can squeeze the tip and fell that it is very tender inside the uretha.
Does this sound like your sysmptom too?
Dave
