I don't know but blame society. I am 19 yrs old and obsessing with the size of my penis. I keep being told the average ranges from 5 to 6 inches erect and that larger men are vary rare. If this is so, then why does it seem everyone is much larger either in the showerroom or elsewhere? And what is the average size for a flaccid penis? As you can tell, I am stressing here and am thinking about penile enlargement. In all honesty, does that work? Is there any possible way to increase penis size...as so many companies have claimed to do? Answer this please.

According to recent studies the average flaccid penis
is 3.4 inches with a range of 1.5 to 5 considered normal.
For an erect penis the size is 5 inches with a range of
4.3 to 6 inches for 90% of guys.  
These are recent measurements because in the past a guy measured
his penis and told the researcher how big it was.  Naturally, they
lied a bit so in the past we thought the average penis was 6 inches
long.  But now with erection inducing drugs we know the real truth.
You measure your penis on the top with the penis horizontal and
with the edge of the ruler touching  your pubic bone
not just the flap of fat).
Penis enlargement can work but it is rarely done unless your
penis is less than 1.5 inches flaccid and 3 inchess erect.
The result from enlargement are controversial and the long
term effects are unknown.
You have to remember that when you see other guys in the locker room
you see them from a different angle than you see yourself.  You look
straight down on yourself but not them. They will always look bigger
for this reason.
I guess the main thing is: does it work and does it give you pleasure.
If it does, count yourself luck. Lots of guys can't say that.  I have
never seen a grave stone say "man he had a big penis".  In the long
run its what your like as a person and the things you accomplish that
will be remembered not how you looked.
One thing, do you have normal sex characteristics like beard, pubic hair,
and enlarged testicles or are these almost entirely missing?
