I have had red splotches (spots) appear on the head of my penis for the past two years.  There are also a few splotches on foreskin area (I am circumcised).  The splotches are apparent more often than not.  They are not painful or itchy and do not break surface of skin.  They seem to appear more after erection or if I wear more or less tight-fitting pants/shorts.  I also think that when they are evident during erection I can at times detect a faint unpleasant smell that was never present before 2 years ago.  My ex-girlfriend had many yeast infections so I am thinking that this may be the cause.  I have not had intercourse with anyone else since this began 2 years ago.  I have not had intercourse at all for over a year, yet the splotches seem to be spreading somewhat.  I would describe the splotchy areas as redish in color with the larger area on the topside of penis near edge (not in urethra area) with smaller splotchy areas also on head closest to foreskin, and even few splotches on foreskin.  I am a clean person who washes foreskin area etc. daily.  Thank you very much for any help.
I really appreciate this forum.

Dear Bob
Thanks for your questions.  Lesions are very difficult to assess by description alone.  Even dermatologist need to be able to examine, palpate (touch) and biopsy (sample for pathologic examination) lesions  Their profession is built on associating new lesions with others they have seen in the past.  I could venture a guess but I probably would  be way off. Odds are, if it have been present for 2 years, unchanged in size, color, shape or location. It is probably benign (noncancerous).   If the lesions are beneath the skin, chances are they do not cause a scent.  Sorry, but  I would suggest seeing a dermatologist for the diagnosis.
   Sincerely;
