Testicle ultrasound? Is it hard? Is it immovable - in other words, does it move with the testicle or does it move independently from the testicle? Are you sure that the ultrasound technician knew where to check?
All of these questions can help to answer your question. Typically, an ultrasound is going to be very good at detecting and identifying lumps and other structures in the testicle. Usually cancer is going to show up as a solid mass, and cysts are going to look hollow. The ultrasound can also differentiate between cycst in the testicle and cysts on the epididymis. The issue here, however, is that it found nothing. Now, I suppose it could be a cyst or some other structure that is very similar to normal testicular tissue, or they could have just missed it altogether. What does your own urologist say?
