Recurrent Low Seamen

Recurrent Low Seamen

I had unprotected sex with a woman about 3.5 months ago and almost immediately began experiencing some strange and unexplained problems. I posted on the expert std forum and dr. hook was certain that my symptoms are not sexually related. However, the problem still persists. Shortly after my post on the std forum in late dec., I experienced very “watery” ejaculate followed a few days later by low seamen levels (basically nothing came out) and a slight burn after ejaculating. Also, there was a dull ache behind my penis and in my vas deferens. I went to the dr. again. They did an ultrasound of my testicles and everything came back normal. The dr. prescribed another round of ab’s for 10 days and the problem seamed to go away. The irritation and slight redness around my urethra opening was absent through January and most of February. In mid-February, I caught the flu and bronchitis. I received yet another round of ab’s for my bronchitis. The redness and irritation around my urethra opening came back during this time and lasted until now.  The ejaculation issues have returned this week as well.

I don’t know what is going on. I have seen 5 different doctors and none of them have been able to figure this out. I have an appointment with a urologist, but the soonest I was able to get in is in mid-April. It seems like a std would be to blame, but I don’t know of any std that is resilient to 5 courses of ab’s, lasts 3.5 months and causes ejaculation problems. On top of that, I have been tested multiple times over the last 3 months and all of the results have been unequivocally negative (including HSV, 4 negative igg tests).  Dr. Hook is quite adamant that I do not have herpes. No sores or blisters on any type.

What is going on with me? Please help! Am I contagious? What could this possibly be?

Thanks

This forum has had many participants who have had affairs and  unprotected sex and then experienced many different and inexplicable symptoms. Search the archives. They have then started on a round of doctor’s visits to account for their symptoms. Multiple negative cultures and multiple visits later, often having had treatment for STI’s  without proven disease, they have come to this forum for the answer. In reality, the answer is anxiety based and the initial physician who stated that nothing could be found  in the workup and that the symptoms did not fit any known physical disease was correct. A second opinion is understandable. But, as the opinions mount that there is nothing physically wrong, you as well as the others, need to accept  the reality that has been explained in many ways and move on to obtaining the emotional care that you need to allow you to  move on and enjoy life.
A psychologist, psych social worker, or a psychiatrist who does counseling will help you work through your anxieties and possible relationship issues. These people can help greatly if you are motivated.
