Recurrent UTI in adult men can be related with my uncircumcised penis?

As a child, I used to have UTI every now and then, my pediatrician always told my parents that I needed a circumcision but they never agree. The problem is those recurrent UTI followed me into adulthood, now at 24 and I have UTI at least every year, and the last 2 years have been horrible, because the bacterias have been antibiotic resistant to most of the meds out there, and they have been aggessive, causing fever.

The last week I did take and ultrasound test and apperently theee's nothing wrong with my UT that could be causing the infections, so, my doctor didn´t mention it this time, but I keep thinking about it. do I need a circumcision? could it help even when I'm an adult now?
