Red balls for two months

Hi,

After engaging in protected sexual relations with a girl two months ago my balls have been a bright red. Originally there was a mild heat to this condition but that appears to have abated. There was also some immense discomfort with this condition but that went away after a full two week application of a hydrocortizone cream. I have been tested for all STDs, which came up all clean. While my doctor has prescribed a cream there appears to be little or no improvement in my scrotum's condition over the past 4 weeks.

I am no longer worried about an STD, however I am concerned that this undiminished rash may be otherwise related to a serious condition. A day hasn't gone by in the past 2 months where my balls haven't ached/itched in some fashion or another, although this may be related to the fact that I am vigorously masturbating to give myself some level of escape. Semen levels are normal, if that's any help and I don't feel any lumps on my balls.

My doctor believes this to be a standard rash that came about after a yeast infection/some other ******** given to me by the girl prolonged by the dryness of winter. I would very much like to believe this is the case but after weeks of red balls I am deeply concerned all the same.

Can anyone help? In short, yeast infection for 2 weeks that away followed by 6 weeks of red balls. My balls slightly ache throughout the day and my scrotum slightly itches. Tested negative for STDs, and I have had 2 doctors say that the rash does not in any way resemble and STD. Should I schedule an appointment with a urologist?

Thank you.

Hi,

The fact that you experience itching all over your body leads me to believe that it might be an alergic reacting to something.
Stress usually does not cause this problem as far as I know. I have had numerous stressful incidents in my life, dealing with different medical problems. Having had to end my career as a heavy duty mechanic shop foreman, and two years ago having had my wife getting severely sick ending up on life support for over a week.
If stress would cause itching, I definitely should have experienced it.

I recall a situation where I had worked on a truck that was leaking some sort of chemical used in the oil and gas industry. After I got home having finished work, I started getting itchy. I had some sort of rash on my body, with it being worse in areas of the groin, in between the thighs and arm pits.

Did you recently change some thing in your life, like switching laundry detergents or things simmilar to that?

I find it odd that your doctor seems to dismis the overall body itching. I suggest that you go back as soon as possible to let the doctor know that the treatment did not work.

All the best.

Oh, I've also been itching all over my body. I can easily ignore it but it's definitely there. My doctor wrote this off due to stress/dryness.

Hey, thanks for the response.

I should clarify the timeline and my issues.

My doctor originally prescribed to me (over the phone) an anti fungal cream five weeks ago and I used that for 3 weeks before I visited him in person and he told me there was no signs of a fungal infection and gave me a very weak anti inflammatory cream and a two week course of antibiotics. After two weeks of using both there has been zero improvement and it has looked the exact same for over a month now and I don't see it improving anytime soon. I'm going to wait another week before I visit him again in the off chance it does get better.

There has literally been no decrease in the redness/extent of the rash. Depending on if I've showered (which I do twice daily, fresh changes of clothes each time) it's either bright red or a deeper red along the bottom of the scrotum. It covers the full scope of my scrotum, effectively forming a circle with a defined border that ends just at the bottom edge my shaft and taint. There is a dull ache in both my balls and random pains in my urethra. I guess I'm wondering if this is truly just some benign, but unruly and persistent, rash? It's essentially crippling my social life and has left me in a rut of depression that has lasted since I got and will go until it's gone. I take solace knowing it's not an STD (tests, symptoms don't match any I've found) but it's still unnerving.

Thanks

While I was reading your post I was thinking along the line of a yeast infection before I saw it mentioned in your post.
Yeast can be very difficult to get under control, and most likely will effect the penis as well. Aspecially in some one who is not circumcised.

Given the fact that have not mentioned involvement of the penis now makes me think that it most likely is not yeast.
I have had numerous yeast infections due to the following reasons. I have got it from my wife and we kept passing it on to each other untill we both got treated at the same time.
The other reason is that I come down with UTI and kidney infections frequently. This is treated with Cipro and antibiotic, which causes the needed bacteria in the digestive tract to die. As a result yeast thrives.

The only other thing that comes to mind is jock itch, since it only involves the scrotum. Itis best that you tell your doctor that previous treatment is not working.

All the best.
