Blood in the urine certainly is a conerning symptom. Causes can include infection, a kidney stone, cancer, or other kidney diseases.
A urology referral should be sought. Tests to consider would be a cystoscopy (to comprehensively look at the bladder), CT scan of the kidneys, as well as a thorough prostate check.
