Retracting Testicles

For the last six months, my testicles have been retracting into my lower abdomen off-and-on everyday. Since I was 15, I have had a varicocele that is about 1/2" thick on my left testicle. Other than that, I haven't experienced any problems other than this recent issue.

My testicles do slide back down into the scrotum when I go to sleep - and during the day. They seem to retract when I get cold and also during sex. My doctor wanted me to get an ultrasound scan performed on my scrotum because he couldn't manually feel my testicles during my last exam. My prostate was fine at that time by the way.

I thought the idea of an ultrasound seemed silly at the time, however, my testicles have continued retracting randomly everyday since then. It also is very uncomfortable to sit when they retract. I am thinking this may all be due to a hernia. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

My name is alfonso and had a similar problem. Sould i be worried about a retracible testicle? Im 15 about 3 months ago i had surgery on my left testicle because i had a grade 3 varicocele. The surgery was sucsessful but, i dident ask the doctor if a retracting testicle was normal cuz i thought it was akward, but now reading about things like this im getting worried. My right testicle is the retractible one. even before the surgery it would retaract. so is there something that i should be worried about or precatious about? should i talk to my parents about it? Is there a probability of tumour or cancer? Please reply to ***@****
