Scheduled to have cystoscopy done in doctor's office, etc.

I'm supposed to have a cystoscopy done this week in my urologist's office.  This is to workup blood being found in my urine as well as preparing for possible sling surgery for stress incontinence.  My menstrual period just started and when this happened before, I called the office and they said not to worry about it, they could do cystoscopy while menstruating, different areas, etc.  Has anyone else ever had cystoscopy done during this time of the month?
