Sexual problems following rectocele and cystocele surgeries

Has anyone in this group had problems having intercourse following having a rectocele and cystocele surgery?

my gyn told me there can be problems when mesh is used for the repair.

Thanks for replying. I asked my GYN  if she used mesh. She said that she didn't and I had a ton of sutures. She stitched on me for 2 hrs or more.

Hi Alma, I had mesh for cystocele, mesh erosion, partial mesh removal - then mesh found around nerve.  Pain in groin, left side then both; vagina, down left leg, left foot -  on peeing, sitting, standing, walking.

Hi again - intercourse too painful; vagina highly 'sensititised'; intense + referred pain that localises to left of vagina.  I'm so lucky to have a loving partner - but what next?
