Sharp pain and Genital Discomfort

Sharp pain and Genital Discomfort

For about 3 months now I have been having a Sharp pain with ejaculation,  most commonly with Masterbation (masturbation),  haven't noticed any problems during sex.  The pain seems to be coming from the underside of my penis,  near the base, but sometimes can radiate out.  It is worse when there is more of a "presure" build up, like on initial release. On one occasion I noticed I had blood in my semen after ejaculation,  some left over fluid came out and it was red.  On a couple of occasions I noticed the semen had a slight yellow color, Lately it has been white.  The other night I had sex with a woman and afterward I felt a strong pain in my left testicle but I think it might have been caused by over aggressiveness.  Only thing consistant is the Sharp Pain (lasts for about a second or two,  kind of like a pinched nerve or something)I've also had some mild discomfort which feels like muscle pains that radiate out from the groin area and into my left leg and sometimes up into my left side.

There are 3 known events that happened sometime around the time this started, 1) I passed a kidney stone (I've had kidney stones for 15 years, maybe 1 a year, all passed), 2) I took Viagra twice, 3) I got a new job where I sit at a desk all day.  I haven't had any other symptoms of an infection, Ghonorra/Chlamydia test was Negative.

I've been to urologist twice,   Did the standard prostate finger test twice,  felt normal,  1st Urine test showed blood present,  2nd test 2 weeks later it was normal.  Also when at the urologist he felt around the area,  didn't feel anything out of the ordinary in the scrotom and applied pressure to the lymph nodes in that area and there wasn't any discomfort. I had a metabolic blood test done and no problems with that.  I'm scheduled for a testicular sonogram on monday.

I don't have med insurance so trying to keep tests to a minimum and visits to the doctor,  If I had insurance I would just test for everything until the problem is weeded out.  The doctor I go to is with: http://www.urologyclinics.com/

The testicular ultrasound is a reasonable test to ensure there is no disease with the scrotum present.

The urine tests likely would have ruled out various infectious causes.

I would consider further evaluating the prostate - since things like prostate masses and infections can lead to blood in the semen as well as pain when ejaculating.

A transrectal ultrasound would be a reasonable test to further evaluate the prostate beyond what a digital rectal exam can do.

You may want to discuss this possibility with your personal physician.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.
