So Fed Up...

OK I'm sure i've found exactly what my problem is after 3 1/2 months of living with this BS...

My girlfriend had a yeast infection in late july so that may be how all this started but i'm NOT having yeast/fungal issues now FOR SURE...

I'm circumcised BTW...

I spent 21 years of my life not having anything like this so this isnt normal by any means...

In early august after masturbating a few times ( I USED to ALOT... multiple times in 1 day from the age of 12-21) i noticed skin peeling underneath the shaft of my penis aswell as underneath the glans (glands) at the top of the shaft...

Of course i freaked a bit and went to the clinic... they threw miconozole 2% at me and said it was yeast from sex with the girlfriend who had yeast...

i applied the cream (never stopped masturbating... ) nothing really got all that better...

went back 3 weeks later (after cream ran out) because i had open sore underneath shaft (the length of the shaft itself and on the testicles were the penis rested against it) that was oozing clear/yellow liquid... Also the redness underneath glans (glands) had increased(no ooze)(still didn't stop masturbating, i know its stupid...) only time it ever itched was when the stuff was under the shaft... They gave me antibiotics(1 week) and antifungle(2 weeks) (oral) and it cleared up quickly while on antibiotics but lingered a bit after they ran out and slowly healed while finishing antifungle...

(looking back im sure this open sore was caused by an imbalance due to the use of the antifungle cream when i may not have needed it because it hasn't resembled ANYTHING else thats going on and wasn't a real concern)

This entire time the spot underneath the glans (glands) sortof on the right side (my penis lays left in my pants so when its laying free its on top...) that HURT when rubbing against underwear... Which was really the only spot i was worried about the entire time... it looked red and blotchy...

So i went back yet again to the clinic and they gave me hydrocortisone 2.5%... i used this for 2 weeks and it didnt seem to help much...

I got sick of creams and such so i stopped using them when nothing worked... i then started using plain petroleum jelly and began taping (with first aid tape) the skin on the shaft up to the head of the penis (from the circumcision scar to the head basically so the skin underneath that was giving me problems didnt rub on my underwear...) i also completely stopped masturbating.... but i was occasionally still having sex with the girlfriend... I noticed redness was always a bit worse after sex...

I did this for 2 weeks... everyday... (so if it WAS fungal it would have had the perfect breeding ground... dark, moist and warm....) Good news is when i removed the bandages after 2 weeks the redness was almost completely gone... it gave me a better view of what i think is the real problem... DESPITE the redness being gone when bandages were removed, it still hurt like hell to drag across the inseam of my boxer shorts...(in 21 years i have never had this until now...) I look at the skin now and in the "problem area" there are tons of spider veins with a large dark purple vein running down the middle... Its the ONLY area that hurts when rubbed along the inseam (i've literally sat down and ran another set of boxers along the shaft to simulate it) and its what i've been feeling for 3 1/2 months...

Also if i masturbate the red blotchy patches comeback right where the spiderveins are... (less so when i have sex but they still do...) and they take a week+ to go away... no itching, just PAIN...

So ive continued to not masturbate for this week without using the tape system... and i notice after a long day of being on my feet the blotchy red spots are there for a while... aswell as anytime i have a prolonged ERECTION.. Also the pain from rubbing is still VERY MUCH there (worse when erect)... When i sit back in a recliner or lay in bed on my back the redness goes down... but even if im laying down and i watch as i get an erection the blotchy spots come back where it hurts and stay a while after the erection goes away (its not normal, general, redness from bloodflow its specific blotchy spots)

This is interfering with me living my everyday life... i'm literally to the point id almost rather chop it off then deal with this.. (and if your a guy you dont say that, ever...)

Its only over this purple vein and everything i've read about spiderveins/varicose veins of the penis says i'm basically SoL...

I dont care how they look... cosmetics are the least of my worries... i dont care if veins are sticking out 2 inches from my shaft and covering the entire thing, aslong as it doesn't hurt.

So i'm begging someone to please tell me its something else or that it will resolve itself on its own... Ive found 2 similar threads in my hours of searching and ive done everything they have up to this point(buying new boxers that are satin, instead of cotton, so the rubbing hurts LESS (still hurts)) and noones ever gotten a real answer a addressing this...

I dont have no insurance right now to see a urologist so any advice would really help...

I do plan on seeing one and basically if your response is "Do to not being able to physically examine these blotchy areas/veins i cant say anything, and you need to see a urologist" then honestly dont bother... i'm just asking for suggestions or anyone with seemingly related experiences to help me with this...

Thanks

I know how you feel, I was diagnosed with prostatitis, and now going through various treatments, though up till then was searching for answers on pain. Through my experience, worry and constant looking at it can drive you crazy.  I was using creams and various underwear for the glans (glands) pain, and learned through doctor and my own understanding this.  Skin on the penis is like no other area on body, can be irritated by creams, esp glans (glands), rubbing, chemicals, maybe thin skin a bit.  Not implying your have prostatitis, just sounds like skin is being irritated by all the stuff and mind body connection. It's tough without a doctor, as you say don't bring up, without right guidance might be sent in wrong direction. I've read posts from guys who probably have prostatitis going to dermatologists, and of course their not going to look at the source, they go through cream after cream and wonder why it not better or worse.  So take care, and hope gets better.

Thank you so much... SO much... I cant thank you enough... i have thought of this... and i'm in the process of getting insurance... Its just nice to see someone going through something similer and understands its not BS...

I was slightly avoiding the thought of prostatitis because im a 21 y/o relatively healthy male and well.. anything with the prostate made me think of some old guys problem... But the more i look into it the more it seems to fit... The only thing i can think that disputes this is that i dont have pain on the glans (glands) themselves... its under the glans (glands) on the shaft (near the glans (glands), on top of the shaft)... most cases i've seen have pain right around the end of the urethra at the tip of the glans (glands)...

Anyway... Thank you again...

The only reason I stick with the possibility of prostatitis is because i've also had pains that shoot from what feels like from the perineum and seem to shoot up the shaft to the tip of my penis... Also frequent urination... although no pain/burning or anything with ejaculation and urination...

Anywho...
