Ph urine test test as well as a urethral swab.
Imaging the scrotum can also be considered, to evaluate for any cysts or masses that can lead to the discomfort. I would obtain a scrotal ultrasound.
If the pain continues, I would consider a referral to a urologist. Sometimes referred pain (i.e. from an inguinal hernia) can present with testicular or scrotal pain.
These options can be discussed with your personal physician, or in conjunction with a urologist.
