Strange Growth on Buttock or Just a wart?

I have a very odd bump on my buttock. Its about 1/4 inch in size, and has developed a hard white tip in the last few months (like a white head on a pimple) You can view some small image I took of the problem.

I was able to pull off a small piece of the white stuff and it looked like dead skin. I have had the actual bump for about 2 years now and it just now started the white bump thing.
The entire thing feels like a piece of skin tissue, is very movable and of course the tip and middle of the bump has a rough hard feel to it. I'm not sure if that is because of the white bump or not.
I'm scared to death that this is some form of cancer!

The pictures aren't in good enough resolution to make a definitive diagnosis. Folliculitis or a cyst can cause similar lesions. If it is the former, antibiotics can be considered, and if it is the latter, it can be drained by a surgeon.
I would have it looked at by your physician. If there continues to be a question as to what it is, a biopsy can be arranged for a more definitive diagnosis.
Followup with your personal physician is essential.
