Tender testicle

I have been experiencing a off and on pain in my left testicle.  It is tender to the touch on a small part of the front/top part.  The pain would be about a 5 on a scale of 1 to 10.  The pain feel similar to the after effects of a kick to the groin. The pain subsides to very mild after a few minutes. I have no swelling or unusual urine.  I am a virgin so I figure STD's are eliminated. I have been having this pain for about 6 days now.  Again everything looks and feels fine except for the discomfort when my testicle brushes against something.  What could be causing this?

I tried the jumping on heels (could definitely feel something happen) and followed with a hot shower and some ibuprofen.  Upon waking up this morning I felt a lot better. The testicle feel 90%.  If it does return I will probably see a doctor, but for not it seems to have worked.

I would check for STDs regardless, since they can lead to tenderness.

Other possible causes can include torsion, a cyst, or mass.  The test to consider would be a scrotal ultrasound.

most guys get this once in a while.  the nut is probably twisted in there.  jump hard down on your heels on a concrete floor a few times.  if doesnt help, a warm bath.  if that doesnt help, masturbate.  if no relief, go to doctor to get ur nut untwisted....
