For the past 2 or 3 weeks I have been experiencing discomfort in my left testicleTesticle lump Testicle pain Testicle ultrasound. I seem to notice it more if I am laying down, or not doing anything active. When it occurs, I have to move around or it will continue to bother me, and even then it usually does not go away. I also seems to occasionally get a sharp pain in the same area. It is very uncomfortable and has me wondering whats going on. Also, it is higher than my right, which I am not sure is relevant or not. Is there anything I should do, or go get it checked out? If so, where should I go?
It is normal to have one testicle higher than the other.
Hope this helps. It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage. You should see an urologist regarding this. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!

Pain in testicle could be due to infection, like prostatitis, epididymitis or orchitis. Get a culture sensitivity test for both semen and urine done. Orchitis will present with some redness and swelling in the testicular area. Also it could be due to referred pain of kidney stones. An ultrasound of the lower abdomen will be able to rule out kidney stones. It could be due to cancer of testis. It could be due to varicocele or spermatocele. An ultrasound of the testicles will diagnose cancer, varicocele and spermatocele.
