Testicle Pain

I have had pain in my left testicle for about 10 months. I have been going to my urologist and he did an; std test, ultrasound my testicle, milked my prostate, and have taken numerous rounds of antibiotics. A few days ago I went back to my doctor asking him what my options were, because I could not stand the pain any longer. He said the only option I have left is to remove the testicle. He said he could not find anything wrong with my testicle. I am really nervous and do not know what to do. I know I cant keep going like this with the pain. But I am also scared to have the surgery done. If anyone can give some good advice it would be greatly appriciated.

Yes Vanessa has a really good point.  They better make sure that it is the testicle that is causing the problem, otherwise even if they take it out, it might not help.

I am also having simular problem.  Mine feels like my left testicle is being pulled upwards, and also pain in lower ab and inner thigh... its been like that for few month no one can figure it out.. please if anyone have any suggestion, let me know. Thank you.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,

I suggest you seek a second opinion. You may discuss with your current urologist the indication for removing the testicle and the possible outcomes like its effect on sexual functions and fertility issues.

A visit with a neurologist might be able to help rule out any nerve related problems.A complete physical examination aside from the urologic examination will be able to rule out other underlying conditions.

Keep us posted for anything.

I also have the same problem.  It has been going on for about 4 months.  I can't stand the pain any longer either.  Does it feel like as if your left testicle is being pulled upwards?

Please let me know if find anything?  Have you decided if you are going to do the surgery?
