Testicle pain in prostate cancer and epidectomy patient

by johnsal, Aug 15, 2009 08:48PM
I went to the urologist with testicle pain.  He found (unrelated?) prostate cancer.  I had my prostate removed.  I then had an epidectomy for the testicle pain.  Four months later my testicle is more swollen and painful than before surgery.  Pathology was consistent with epididymitis.

I am ready to have the testicle removed, but the doctor is concerned it might be referred pain, although I can't see how swelling could be related to referred pain.

I had an ultrasound and was told I don't have testicular cancer.  I am really tired of surgery and am ready to have it removed.  Anyone out there been through anything similar?
