Testicular question

I have a question about my left testicle.
I must first start out saying that neither of my testicles hurt in anyway during any hours of the day.
When I am preforming my usual testiclular cancer searches, on the verry bottom (and i do mean the very point, at the bottom) of the left testicle, it is tender to touch and can sometimes hurt (only when touched). I do have a vericole in my right testicle and the odd shaped thing on my left testicle feels very soft when touched.
What exactly is this? Why does it hurt? And should i get it looked at?
Once again it is the very bottom of my left testicle, and does not hurt at all until i touch it down there, during examinations.
Please let me know how i should procede. Thank you!

The odd shaped lump could be hydrocele, a hernia, cancer of testicle, varicoceles or or spermatocele. An ultrasound of the testicles will diagnose cancer, varicocele and spermatocele. Pain or tenderness in testicle could be due to infection, like prostatitis, epididymitis or orchitis. Get a culture sensitivity test for both semen and urine done.
However it is difficult to comment beyond this without examination. Please discuss these possibilities with your urologist. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
