Thermal Burn to Ureter

Three weeks after a robotics hysterectomy, I began leaking urine through the vagina.
An IVP test confirmed leakage in the left ureter near the bladder.
Urologist confirmed it was a thermal burn approximately 2 centimeters and put a large stent in for an 8 week time frame. I also had a foley catheter in for a week, to which I had no leakage.
Catheter was removed a few days ago and leakage returned.
I am wondering if the ureter has a chance or will eventually heal on it's own or if repair surgery is inevitable.
Thank you.

Hello,

As the thermal burn has not responded to stent,so it has to be repaired by surgery or lapratomy.I would sincerely advise you to consult your operating surgeon and discuss these two options with him.

Hope it helps.Take care and regards.
