Hi,

Was urinalysis done? Was urine culture done ?What are the results?

Urinary tract infection is usually diagnosed with a simple urinalysis.A UTI may be complicated or uncomplicated depending on the presence of other factors.  They may or may not present with symptoms. They may involve the kidneys ( pyelonephritis) and may present with fever nausea, vomiting and back pains or just the lower urinary tract ( bladder and urethra) which may be limited to pain in urination and dribbling of urine due to difficulty expelling the urine.

Back pains and headaches may be attributed to other underlying problems like posture or a spine disorder. However, in your case a diagnosis of UTI may also explain the backaches and headaches.

I also suggest you seek consult with a gynecologist regarding your "spotting". A thorough pelvic examination including a pap smear may be requested.

Are you sexually active?
Have you been diagnosed with UTI before?

Sounds like a GYN issue to me, not a UTI.  I suggest that if it continues, you see a gyno right away.  White discharge usually is vaginal, not urinary, and missing a period plus spotting also leads to gyn issues.
