Unknown ED problem

by incog123, Oct 08, 2007 12:58PM
Im 26.  I had a hydrocelectomy at 19.  Been masturbating since I was a child (maybe 5 yrs old). I also masturbated Prone till I was about 14 then began doing it the normally.  I recently have noticed that I am rarely waking up with morning erections.  I was dating a girl for over 5 years with no trouble sexually.  I was recently seeing someone new, had some trbl having sex with her too.  Id finish but erections were not that strong.  Ive climaxed 2x on the same erection with her a few x  but neither was 100% erect.  Lately, Ive noticed that erections even during masturbation havent been 100% and I have to keep in contact at times to maintain.  Other times Im 100%. This started around the time I started taking a train everyday to work 3 mths ago. On the train, I get a few short muscle spasms in my perineum.   Ive also noticed my scrotum feels swollen. A mth ago I saw a urologist at columbian pres.  He said everything seemed normal.  Got ultrasounds of the scrotum, bladder and kidneys, all  normal and urine/blood/prostate tests too.  He said that morning erections are a good sign but not having them doesnt mean I have a problm. He thinks its mental since there was no prob with my 5 yr gf.  My ques are:

I find myself masturbating daily 1 or 2x just to prove everything is normal.  Can mental aspects cause weak erections even while masturbating?

Can having masturbated prone as a child be affecting me?  If that had done damage, wouldnt I have noticed something wrong b4 now, during the last 12 years when all was fine?

Can the discomfort in my scrotum be affecting erections?

Should erections always be 100%?

Is it possible the perineum spasms on train can cause this?

Can masturbating while not very arroused contribute to lack of stronger erections the nxt time?  I feel like im desensatizing myself both physically + mentally.

Does being fully erect at times help rule out any physical cause?

Is lack of morning wood a problem?

Plz answer all ques if possible.

To answer your questions:
1) Yes, psychological conditions, or stress can lead to erectile dysfunction.

2) I cannot comment on this question.  Depending on the intensity of the act, it is possible that it may have caused some physical damage.  However, this is less likely given the negative testing thus far.

3) Discomfort in the scrotum may be leading to the erectile problems - if there is an infection, hydrocele or cyst this may lead to erection issues.  Again however, negative imaging would make this less likely.

4) Erections can have variable qualities and character.

5) Muscle spasms in the perineum may lead to variable erection quality.

6) Achieving occasional full erections would make a physical cause less likely.

These questions should be discussed with your personal physician.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.
