Urethral Diverticulum - In your experience?

I think I may have a urethral diverticulum. I am 30 yrs, never given birth. My problem only became obvious over the past two weeks or so. I started to notice a lot of tightening and dryness down there, along with an urge to go to the bathroom all the time and woth stinging pain every time I had to go. I inspected myself and found that I had a rather large mass surrounding my urethral opening. Over the course of a week it became more painful and after checking myself I realized it was increasing in size. It feels hard, odd shaped (almost like a sphere but with a rounded cone type shape at the top) but if I apply some pressure pus comes out of my urethra.(I have also noticed it leaks pus throughout the day. Sorry if tgis is TMI!!) Over a weekend the pain was becoming unbearable. It felt like a burning sensation when you have a UTI, only non-stop. The feeling was actually too familar for me, but on a grander scale. I've always had what I would describe as a weak bladder. I've had UTIs in the past, but over the last 3 years I notice that even with antibiotics, there is still pain after finishing the round of pills. (Last time I went back but UTI was negative, even though I still felt pain/burning sensation. I always felt like I had a ''buldge'' down there but I summed it up to just being the way my parts looked/felt. I've researched the symptoms and it fits me to a T. I decided to go to the hospital on a Sunday morning when I noticed the lymph nodes in my groin were swollen and painful to the touch. I have an appointment tomorrow for a more thorough exam, but they said it was either a skene's gland cyst or a diverticulum.

My questions for those who have had a urethral diverticulum;
Did it randomly just start getting bigger one day, similar to my case, or was it always the same size/shape and only noticed after having urinary problems and having docs look into your problem further?

Were your lymph nodes swollen because of it?

Did it go away on it's own or did you opt for surgery?

And lastly, if you DID have the surgery, was it worth it? Did it create more problems, such as incontinence that was more severe etc, or did it actually solve the issues with pain, reoccuring UTIs?

I know every body is different but I'm curious to know what symptoms others had, and what the outcome was.
