Urgency to Urinate - if not a UTI - what is is?

For the past 3 months I have had a sudden urge to urinate.  Usually within 5 min's of needing the bathroom I become very desperate - to the extent where there have been occasions when I have not made it in time.

For a number of years I have also suffered from tummy-aches.  I wander if this is associated?  The tummy-aches are not due to my diet, constipation, wind, IBS, dairy allergies etc.   The aches are across my whole tummy and can last all day.

I have been two see two doctors.   One told me I had a UTI.  This confused me as my symptoms do not correspond with a UTI.  The urine test showed no evidence of bacteria, I am experiencing no burning sensation, and I have not been passing a small amount urine each time I go.  There is a lot of urine being passed.  

The second doctor told me I had a tummy bug - this threw me even more.

I feel certain there is more to this.   The antibiotics have not assisted me.  I do not know where to go or how to be taken seriously.  I obviously cannot continue like this.

I hope somebody out there can help me.
