Hi there have a question on behalf of a patient my uncle 66 year old male went in for laprascopic hernia surgery
2 weeks ago was doing great after 3 days then landed in the ER 4 different times in one week for SEVERE urinary retention issues (only has prostrate issue b4 this and was able to urniate on his own just fine).
Well now its close to 7:30pm (catheter was removed around 10 am this morning) and now he says HE CAN'T URINATE AGAIN....do I need to shuffle him back to the ER for the 5th again tomight or will my uncle's urologist of possibly suggest another surgical procedure to nip this urinary retention & prostrate issue (which really wasn't an issue b4 this surgery) in the bud because of one lousy hernia surgery.....
Any suggestions?? or advice on how I could tackle this mind you his eating habits are impeccable, he watches what he eats & weighs but he's in the air conditioning repair business where he is required to do alot of heavy lifting and such...I really need solutiosn DOG TIRED of visiting the ER with him at odd hours of the night & day to fix this urinary retention problem his nerves and mine are damn near shot.... Thank you for any help/advice in advance.
