Urine Incontinence even one month after TURP

My 75 year old  father had his TURP on 3rd April. He has started suffering from urine incontinence since last few days. Is this common? How do you treat it ? How long does it take ?

I'm about to have my 3rd TURP in 7 years, and I'm only 40.  My PSA has been at 0.4 for this entire period.

I'm concerned that the tissue keeps growing back, and that I keep needing this procedure.

Hi,
Thanks for writing in. Urinary incontinence after TURP can happen in a minor population of patient’s as a side effect. The common modes of treatment for this condition are Pelvic floor muscle training with or without biofeedback or anal electrical stimulation. Compression devices and life style changes also help cope with this condition.
I would suggest to consult a urologist for further assistance.
Best.
