Varicocele & Embolization

Recently had varicocele embolization procedure for left side varicocele. Unfortunately the embolization did NOTHING to improve the varicocele, the size, nor the pain level associated. The intervention radiologoist said he was 99.5% sure he got the right vein. So I dont understand why no improvement. None. I feel like it was a pure waste of my time and I will do the surgery option now. Although I hear the surgery is no guarentee to fix either. Has anyone tried both the surgery and embolization and had better results with one over the other? this is all very frustrating when just wanting to have fixed. thanks.
