Vasectomy Itch

I had a vasectomy done 11 months ago.  After about two months, I began developing an itch right at the left clip that varies in intensity, but with every ejaculation it is there.  At times it will begin itching for no apparent reason... no stimulation of any kind, but not as intense.  There is no trace of this itching on the right clip.

I have been seeing the urologist who did my vasectomy, and at this point, he is stumped.  He has suggested that we might try going back in and redoing the clip on that side, but he doesn't want to jump into this since he does not have any guarantee that it will resolve my problem.  I've done some searches on the internet and find nothing like this at all.

Any ideas on what might be happening here?  I'd sure like to end the itching!

Difficult to say without examination.

Possibilities can be an effect of scar tissue, or perhaps an infection.

There is the chance that a surgical procedure can better define the cause - but as your urologist mentioned, there are no guarantees.

Infection is possible, and can be initially evaluated with a urinalysis.

These options can be discussed with your personal physician.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.
