Vasectomy question post hydrocele removal

by sublime740, Jul 09, 2008 09:21AM
I am a 33 year old man and had a hydrocele/spermatocele removed from my left testicle about 15 years ago.  I am considering having a vasectomy and am wondering if there is a higher risk of redevelopment of a hyrdocele/spermatocele or rupture in that area and whether vasectomies are recommended after having these types of conditions (hydrocele/spermatocele).  I am already hesitant to have the procedure done and definitely do not want to have to do through the pain and swelling that I previously had 15 years ago.  How likely is a reoccurance post-vasectomy.  Thanks in advance.
