Dr.,
Several years ago I was involved with a girl who was a virgin (I knew her quite well so I would presume she was being honest) and I am also a virgin. We did engage in oral sex quite a bit. We were engaging in oral sex for several months until one day I noticed, visually, for lack of a better word a sore spot on my penis under the foreskin (uncircumsized). There was no pain associated and a very light sensation from time to time. I panicked thinking it was definitely herpes not really knowing much about it. The only thing that I can remember different about this incident was that her teeth scrapped my penis fairly hard. That may just be in my mind. Anyways, the conditions came and went and there wasn't really any pattern to it. Initially the spot was very small but as time went on they were larger, but varried in size. Sometimes they were a week apart, sometimes a month. Also, in duration they lasted sometimes a few days sometimes longer. A while after I first noticed this, my gf developed a cold sore. It's the first time I've known for her to have one. While she showed any symptoms of the cold sore I didn't even kiss her. I was always hygenic, but never really spent a lot of time cleaning under the foreskin...more so pulled it back and just let the water run over it. But since I have begun to really scrub it (sounds harsh) with a cloth the symptoms like I described have stopped and I haven't had any occurances in almost a year. Occasionally I get a spot that's somewhat red, but never a sore and it's quite small. It is always gone within 24 hours as well. The area where the sores occured was, and I'm not sure if I'll know how to describe the very well, always along the back part of the penis head where the foreskin actually attaches to the penis. Now I have almost what I would describe as scarring on the skin under my foreskin and it's like a small part of the skin along the back of the penis head "adhered" a couple years ago when it was sore.
I don't know if this is related but I also have a little white spot on the right side of the penis about the 1/4 the size of a typical pinky finger nail. It's not raised and has zero sensation, just like normal skin, but turned white (started small and grew to it's current size). Is this possibly vitiligo, not sure on the spelling.
Anyways, I've been quite stressed about it all since I'm not involved with a new person. I would really like a Dr's opinion but I'm also quite nervous/embarassed about going to see a Dr. I realize you can't make a 100% diagnosis but your opinion would be REALLY appreciated. Thank you.
