The most commonCommon cold symptoms of bladder cancer include: blood in the urine, pain during urination, urinating small amounts frequently, or frequent urinary tract infections. A urine test and urine culture determine the presence of blood, infection, and other abnormal cells. Initial diagnostic test is through cystoscopy, a test that allows your doctor to look at your bladder with a thin lighted scope. Small tissue samples of any abnormal areas are taken and examined under the microscope to determine whether cancer cells are present and what the cells look like. A pelvic ultrasound determines whether a mass is present in or around the bladder. It would also be helpful to discuss the results with your dad's doctor to eliminate all doubts.
