The presence of blood is a normal part of the irritation on the bladder. Keep yourself adequately hydrated and take antibiotics. If the bleeding doesn't improve in a day or two, best consult a doctor again.
Could it be possible that the blood is coming from the vagina? when was your last menstrual period? Do you have irregular periods?
Another question is whether the episode is related to some recurrent activity like sexual intercourse. If it is, and the cystitis seems recurrent, you may want to discuss taking prophylactic (pre-emptive) medications to avoid the complication.
