Have a son who is 17 yrs old. He started to complain of kidney hurting. Then people started to notice he was turning yellow. Made appointment with doctor. Had urine test done for infections, and everything else. Came back neg. -nothing. I stated he is no better.  So we went for ultrasound and upper gi.
I just recieved call and they stated ultrasound came back neg., but he does have blood in the urine. They stated there is nothing you can do for that. WHAT? He is no better.
He is to the point where he is sick to his stomach. His urine is like a brown color with a bad smell? Had this the wholetime.

What can I do to help him?

Take him to ANOTHER doctor.  There MUST be something specific that they can do, the symptoms sound so definite and severe.  Go to

www.urologyhealth.org

I was just there and noticed that there is a whole wide range of causes of Hematuria, or blood in the urine.  Kidney (renal) failure causes the skin to change colour, as well as other things such as bleeding of the urinary tract, and nausea. The latter (Kidney failure) sounds much more like what is going on here, but unfortunately also sounds more serious.  I wouldn't waste any time with this, nor any useless feedback from unhelpful docs.
