Hello there,

How are you? Hot flashes are mostly caused by the hormonal changes of menopause, but can also be affected by lifestyle and medications. It is good you have identified your  trigger for your hot flashes, you've made the first step in getting the upper hand. It would be good to drink plenty of water and visit the toilet regularly to prevent the bladder urgency. Other hot flash triggers include: alcohol, caffeine, diet pills, spicy food, hot food, hot tubs or hot showers and saunas. Lifestyle changes such as stress reduction, exercise, diet change to low fat and even acupuncture can help in alleviating hot flashes.

I hope this helps. Take care and keep us posted.
