Thank you for your suggestions. I contacted my urologist and he advised waiting and drinking lots of water. Since there is no pain , I can wait and see if the bleeding lessens (which it has). Some small blood clots were in the urine but the color has gotten lighter.
Hello,
Red color of urine can be due to blood in urine. It could represent bleeding from anywhere in the genital tract like urethra, urinary bladder, prostate, kidneys or ureters. Diagnostic tests that may be performed include Urinalysis, Urine culture, X-rays of the kidneys, Cystoscopy, IVP, Abdominal ultrasound and CT scan of the abdomen.
The treatment will depend on the cause of the blood in the urine. I suggest you to get an evaluation done from a urologist.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
