bludder infection

hello doctors
.I'm a male 25 yo. went to the hospital 2 days ago regarding a disconfort on my urinary system, i ve been checked and stated that i have a bludder infection, they gave me antibiotics and told me that i should be fine after couple days

my question is how could i get that kind of infection, and if its commons to have a bludder infection.
also im wondering if it might have any relation with STD's, i have been tested over a month ago for STD, and HIV nearly a month ago, they all came negative, should i retest again for STD's or consider it just as an infection
