calcifications in penis

I have a few lumps inside the penis near the base and one further forward. Ultrasound has shown that these are calcifications but did not show to which part of the penis they are attatched. Recent blood tests have shown no signs of sexually transmitted diseases.
Prior to discovering these lumps I was on antibiotics to treat a throat infection, one called Curam the other, Zedd.
Is there any way to treat these lumps? Is sodium thiosulfate an option? Many thanks if you can help

THIS IS FOR EVERYONE WITH A LUMP IN THE PENIS WHO FOUND THIS PAGE VIA GOOGLE. NO YOU DO NOT HAVE PEYRONIE'S DISEASE. THIS IS JUST A HEMATOMA AND IT'S NORMAL YOU DON'T REMEMBER WHEN YOU HURT YOURSELF. IT WILL RESORB WITH TIME AND IF YOU WANT TO MAKE IT FASTER JUST TAKE SOME ANTIOXIDANT SUPPLEMENTS (VITAMIN E, C, SELENIUM).

I was so worried before going to see a urologist. Peyronie's disease is rare and appears only after 50. Penis hematoma (wounds) however can happen and its calcification leads to a lump, or the feeling of having something strong piercing through your penis.  With time, the calcification resorbs and your erections won't hurt anymore and you won't have the lump in the penis. Thank you and stop googling your symptoms.

There's also another site, www.menshealthpd.com, that might be helpful. Good luck!

These lumps you describe are referred to as "plaques," and are the symptom of Peyronie's Disease.  Peyronie's Disease (PD) is when scar tissue (plaques) form in the Tunica Albuginea of the penis (the thin, tough membrane which encloses the corporae cavernosae), causing bending of the erect penis, because the Tunica Albuginea cannot expand fully.  There are some websites, most notable the Peyronie's Disease Institute's and the Association of Peyronie's Disease Advocates, which deal with this disease in great depth.  I suggest you check them out.  Although it only afflicts 1-4% of men, usually middle-agers, there has been growing interest in the disease (hitherto thought to be "incurable") and original remedies are coming out.

Neprinol is something which has been advertised, and it is said to break up scar tissue in the body.  Penis Extenders have also been used lately, though one wonders exactly how effective they are.

What you have may not be Peyronie's per se, I too have some scarring at the base of my penis, only it doesn't bother me.  Peyronie's, at least according to the more trustworthy sites, is the EXCESSIVE production of scar tissue after micro-trauma (minor injury) to the Tunica Alb.; an exaggerated production of scar tissue which causes bending, due to a malfunction in the wound-healing process.  What you have may just be typical scarring.

I suggest you check out the sites which I described, I don't know the addresses offhand, butg if you type in the titles which I typed above you should find them in your should find them.

Good Luck!
