can protein in urine cause burning pain in urethra

I am 17. Sexually active. have been tested for stds and other diseases like diabetis various times. I was told by a dr about 2 months and again 1 month ago i have blood and protein second time just protein i believe in my urine i have an appointment with a kidney specialist soon but a few times i have felt a burning in my urethra before i pee. Can this be caused by the protein.i got another set of tests around 2 weeks ago but assume there pretty good since i wouldve usually heard from dr in about 1 week.
