chronic testicle pain

Hello, I'm a 32 yr old male having problems with my right testicle. A few years ago, I had a shooting pain in my right testicle right after ejaculating. Since then, especially after ejaculating several times in a row, the testicle hurts, and my epididymis swells up. There have been a few times where this has actually led to lower abdominal pain as well, and really saps my energy, to the point of having to lie in bed for several days to recover. Lately, the testicle itself has gotten much larger and is pretty hard, along with the swollen epididymis. I'm afraid I have developed a chronic case of epididymitis, but I'm not sure. I'm self-employed with no health insurance, so I've avoided going to the doctor. Any advice would be EXTREMELY appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for the replies! It really does seem to be triggered by ejaculation. I went about 10 days without ejaculating and the swelling and pain died down almost entirely, but when I ejaculated again, the pain and energy-sap (for lack of a better term) returned, to the point of keeping me up at night with pain. as I said, this has been going on for quite some time. Does this help narrow it down?

Hi there!

I just read your post regarding testicular pain following masturbation.
I have very recently developed the same problem & am freaking out.
I am afraid my sex life might be over & I am also concerned about infertility.
It would be of immense help to me if you could provide a little more information regarding your condition.
Did it resolve? Did you take any treatment/medication for it? Did you abstain from any form of sexual activity? If so, did it gradually heal itself?
I would be very grateful for some help.
Also my epididymis is palpable & half the size of testis, I can feel it sticking to the lower pole of testis.
I did not have any sex within the last 18 months. It is masturbation induced.
Excess masturbation caused it in the first place.

hey
I   had the same pain as you and the swelling in the right testicle.
I was put on doxycyclin for quite some time. this did not work. Next  was
the ultrasound which showed a tremendous amount of blood flow. My
urologist said it was very suspicious of a tumor. He was right and it was
testicular cancer. Malignant or not it had to be removed. With a little
radiation positive attitude and follow up I am cancer free. good luck no worries

Hi
Thanks for writing to the forum!
Pain in testicle could be due to infection, like prostatitis, epididymitis or orchitis. Get a culture sensitivity test for both semen and urine done. Only orchitis will present with some redness and swelling in the testicular area. It could be due to varicocele or spermatocele. An ultrasound of the testicles will diagnose varicocele and spermatocele.
Hope this helps. It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage. You should see an urologist regarding this. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
