chronic testicular pain

I had an hernia operation aug 2006 and it left me with chronic testicular pain which i still have. I am thinking of the microsurgical denervation operation to see if this will help, any advise would be great as im not sure what to do. One thing i have found is that i have become depressed could this problem be causing this as i have always been a happy person up to my operation nearly two years ago.
