i am 24 years old.some day before i feel pain in my right testis.after ultrasound i found a cyst on the head of right epididymis.i want to ask a...1]what is the cause of happening of cyst of epididymis?

2]is it affect my sexual life?
3]is it make me impotence?
4/is it necessory to do surgery?
5]what should i ahve to do?

plz answear my question.im really so worried avout it.my doctor told me it will be ok....

How are you? Epydidymal cysts are are benign and do not usually require treatment.Epididymal cysts are filled with clear fluid and are not associated with cancer.The cause is often unknown but it may be caused by obstruction of the tubes that carry sperm from the testicles.If epididymal cysts become painful or suddenly start increasing in size they can be surgically excised. However, there is always a risk of scar formation in the area of the tubules during operation causing a blockage to the flow of sperm on that side and infertility.  It would be good to discuss your treatment options with your doctor.
