Hi I am 21 2 years ago my left testicle died from being twisted , I than when for an operation to tighten the right side so that the same thing does not happen . The doctors told me that the left testicle would just get much smaller and leave my system , it did get slightly smaller but has never left . I have been to the doctor twice to check this out (last 6 months back) and the doctor tells me it's okay for now . Is it something I should worry about ? Check up often ? Or how long should it take for the testicle to get smaller and leave my system ?

Hi,
In my opinion, if it has been confirmed through a color Doppler that there’s no blood supply to the testis, then it makes sense to get it surgically removed as otherwise there are other risks like any infection in the dead tissue can spread to other parts of the body increasing the chances of septicemia. I’ll suggest you to consult your urologist for the same and discuss this option. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
