decatherization

by shanni_v, May 26, 2009 11:09AM
My father-in-law underwent radiation after he has been diagnoised as Prostatecancer. He was under catheter before radiation as he was unable to urinate. After radiation   he went to urologist to check whether decatherization can be done and also to check the prostate size. HE found that prostate size has reduced significantly . Urologist tried to remove the catheter . But he was unable to urinate and they had to put the catherter back.
Now my question is how can we perform decatherization? what are the effects after that? Please explain.
