dull ache in testicles

  i'm currently 18, but since the 7th grade i've had an ongoing pain in my left testicle.
  i was checked out by both family then specialist doctors and both said that nothing
  was wrong. i fail to believe this since i still hurt on and off and i'm worried that they
  might have missed something or that i have something wrong with me and that they just dont
  know about. i really need some help on this one since my parents think i'm nuts because the
  doctors said i was ok, but i dont feel ok. thank you

Dear Nino, Pain in the testis could be due to a varicocele (dilatation of veins), inflammation, growth or injury.  However most causes can easily be diagnosed by  physical examination.  If two doctors have already examined you and have not found any abnormality, probability of any significant disease is quite unlikely.  However, if you are still concerned or if the pain increases, you can arrange to see an urologist who may examine you and may arrange for few tests such as urine examination, ultrasound and or doppler. Decision about need for these tests can only be made after the examination.
