got my ultrasound results!!! i have a varicoceles!!(good news i think)

I'd like to start by saying im 23.
OK, so as i'm sure the whole forum knows LOL, i went for my testicular ultrasound I have a history of low test for my age(or any age below 70 lol), and i felt lumps, and pain in my nuts. I decided, since my doctor is clueless i'd drive to the radioloogists' and get my results. I picked up both the report, and the films.

Below, I will write out the exact report. I also have questions so I will write them out after the report. All answers will be appreciated .

Below is my report...

Exam: testicular ultrasound with DOPPLER
Clinical indication Male Genital disorder unspecified
Technique:Grayscale color and duplex doppler sonography was performed of the scrotum. No pertinent prior have been submitted for comparison.

Findings
The right testis measures 4.8x2.1x2.8 cm The left testis measures 5.2x2.1x3.1 cm

The testicular echotexture bilaterally is normal without discrete lesions.

There is Physiologic amount of fluid in each hemiscrotum

Normal arterial inflow and venous outflow was identified using doppler ultrasound.

The largest paratesticular vein measures approximate 2mm on each side. Findings to just borderline bilateral varioceles.

Impression Borderline bilateral varicoceles. No accute findings.

OK SO NOW FOR SOME QUESTIONS
1- It doesnt sound like I have cancer right? That's the impression I'm getting.
2- Is my testicle si*e normal? One of the reasons I wanted to get this done was to see if my testes are normal si*ed. Also is the si*e diff between the two testes normal? I know there is supposed to be some si*e difference, but is this normal?

3- what does ''there is a physiologic amount of fluid in each hemiscrotum'' mean? Is that a good result or bad?

4-So, I was kind of hoping I had varicoceles. I was under the impression that I could get surgery g devine talks about, and it wouldnt be a big operation, and then I could get my test levels back to normal, and wouldnt have to take trt? It says they are borderline though
5- what does it mean i have an unspecified genital disorder?
6- will surgery restore my testosterone levels?

Hi there!

1. Yes, this is a normal study.
2. Yes, the testicles are normal in size and so is the size difference.
3. ‘Physiologic’ amount of fluid is normal and expected in the hemiscrotum.
4. Borderline is essentially taken as normal and unlikely to be responsible for the symptoms.
5. This just means the indication for which the ultrasound was ordered by the urologist has not been specified to the radiologist.
6. Surgery is not indicated in the situation. I would suggest considering an evaluation by an endocrinologist for suggestion of an appropriate management plan.
Hope this is helpful.

Take care!
