has anyone experienced the same symptoms as me with a 'floating kidney' ?

I have recently spent 3 weeks in hospital and have been diagnosed with a floating right kidney. This showed up on a renalgram and also on an ultrasound scan which I had done lying down and also standing up (my kidney drops approx 6cms). The consultant urologist which I saw was not at all understanding and made me feel that I was totally neurotic and that the symptoms which I was experiencing were not related to my kidney problem (my right kidney function is down to 34%). I am now being paased onto another urologist at the same hospital who specialises in laparoscopic surgery to see if he will help although I feel he will need convincing. The symptoms which I have made life miserable, I have constant colicky pain in varying degrees in my right side, I shake, have hot sweats, have a weighing down feeling on my stomach when I lie down and occasionally have palpitations. Has anyone else suffered from similar symptoms or experienced the same lack of sympathy from a urologist ? I would also be interested to hear from anyone that may have had surgery for this and what it entails as there seems to be a lack of information. Hope someone can help.

I also have strange symptoms.  Ive been out of work for almost 3 months, I shake, have bad lower  back pain and can barely walk with extreme leg pain.  No docs will help me tell me i'm nuts pretty much.  Put me on an anti depressent and sent me on my way.  I have also been to the hospital numerous times but they do nothing for me!  I'm alone noone will help me.

I had the same problem for 5 yrs. They finally fixed it by robotic surgery. I am now in so much pain and can't even take a breath in. The surgeon who did the surgery is blowing me off by telling me the surgery went well so there is nothing wrong.
